I grew up in a family of five brothers, four of whom have been involved in agriculture from a young age. I was the exception—I pursued further studies, went to university, and built a career as a Chief Financial Officer in a listed company. However, having been raised in La Marie, a community deeply rooted in agriculture, my passion for farming never left me.
After 25 years in the corporate world, I decided to return to my roots and invest in what has always been close to my heart. I partnered with my brother Pravin, who has over two decades of experience in vegetable cultivation. My exposure to the healthcare industry made me increasingly aware of the growing number of illnesses such as cancer, many of which are linked to food safety and the excessive use of pesticides. This motivated us to take a more responsible and sustainable approach to farming.
Our first project under this new vision is located at La Brasserie Road, where we are currently implementing a model focused on controlled pesticide use, with the goal of eventually transitioning to 100% organic practices. We plan to expand this initiative to other sites, including Plaine Sophie and Britannia. Our ultimate objective is to produce and supply safe, healthy vegetables while contributing positively to both consumer well-being and the environment.
